SKUSA SuperNats26

Lucas Lesmes left an indelible mark at the prestigious SKUSA SuperNationals 26, held just outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Racing under the banner of PSL (the factory Birel team in the USA), Lesmes showcased remarkable skill and determination, with the added distinction of being supported by JGM—marking their inaugural international kart race as a team.

The SKUSA SuperNationals 26, known as one of the world's premier kart races, unfolded on the challenging Las Vegas street circuit. The 400-meter straight saw speeds exceeding 120 kmph tested the mettle of participants, leading organizers to implement a track layout adjustment for safety without compromising the exhilaration of the event.

Lucas Lesmes demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout qualifying and the heat races, showcasing immense promise in the fiercely competitive field. Despite facing stiff competition and a field of remarkable depth, Lesmes unfortunately missed securing a spot in the final. Undeterred, he remained a spirited presence at the event, wholeheartedly supporting his teammates.

Notably, the race marked JGM's first foray into international kart racing, a momentous occasion for the team. Lesmes' collaboration with JGM showcased the synergy between driver and team, emphasizing their collective commitment to excellence in the sport.

One notable achievement of the weekend came from the seasoned racer and SKUSA legend, and Lucas’ mentor for the weekend; Kip Foster. Foster, competing in the KA3 Masters category, clinched an impressive third place in the final. The achievement not only added to the team's success but also highlighted the camaraderie and collective spirit that defines the racing community in the USA.

Lucas Lesmes' participation in the SKUSA SuperNationals 26 not only highlighted his individual prowess but also underscored the significance of teamwork in the dynamic world of kart racing. As a rising star, Lesmes continues to captivate audiences with his skill, sportsmanship, and unwavering dedication to the pursuit of victory.
