Jess Golding isn’t just the founder of JGM—she’s a trailblazer in Australian motorsport. As the only woman to own a motorsport team in Australia, Jess brings a wealth of racing experience and a unique perspective to the world of karting. Her commitment to excellence, combined with her ability to connect with drivers at every level, is what makes JGM truly special.

Having led JGM to win club and state championships, state cups and multiple race wins at the national level, Jess is as focused on developing the next generation of racers as she is on continuing to break barriers in motorsport.

Fun Facts: Jess is the first woman to receive funding from the Australian Motorsport Foundation and the last woman to win an Australian karting championship.

The JGM Story

Jess Golding Motorsport started with a simple goal: to create a place where drivers could thrive. Founded in 2022 by Jess Golding, a National and State champion racer herself, JGM has quickly risen through the ranks of Australian karting. With a focus on personalized coaching, elite race team support, and expert kart preparation, we’ve helped drivers achieve podiums at club, state, and national levels.

From a small team with big dreams to one of the most respected names in karting, our journey has been fuelled by the same passion and determination we see in our drivers every day.

Fun Facts: Jess represented Australia in the Winter Olympic sport, Skeleton and holds a first-class honours degree in Sports Marketing & a Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School.

  • 2005 Australian Karting Champion

    Jess becomes the first woman in over 20 years to win an Australian Karting Championship at Port Macquaire in ReSa Light.

  • 2006 Defending Australian Champion

    Setting the fastest lap in the final in the wet, Jess finishes P3 defending her Australian Championship at Newcastle.

  • CIK Trophy of New Zealand

    Jess represents Australia in 2006 and 2007 in the premier Formula 100 category. The highest placed Australian at the event.

  • Formula BMW Asia Scouting

    Jess is scouted by Formula BMW Asia to test a Formula BMW after her performance at the CIK Trophy of NZ at Pukekohe Raceway.

  • Formula BMW Asia Scholarship Program

    Jess is selected to test a Formula BMW as part of the Formula BMW Asia scholarship program in Sepang.

  • Australian Formula Ford Championship

    Jess races three rounds of the Australian Formula Ford Championship with Synergy Motorsport.

  • Formula BMW Testing - Motaworld UK

    Jess is invited to the UK to test with Motarworld at Pembrey Circuit, Wales.

  • Formula BMW China - ERain Racing

    Jess is invited to test for front running Formula BMW Asia team, ERain Racing at Zhuhai.

  • Formula BMW Testing - Fortec

    Jess is invited to test and given a drive with the front-running UK team, Fortec Motorsport.

  • Australian Skeleton Team

    Jess tries out and joins the Australian Skeleton team 2012-2014. Representing Australia in the North American Cup.

  • 2023 QLD State Champion

    In her first year's attempt, Jess wins the 2021 QLD State Championship in Formula 100.

  • Jess Golding Motorsport Launches

    2022 JGM launches at Ipswich Kart Club. Winning the 2022 Junior Championship and NSW State Cup in its first season
